and before 20 days had passed, an
advance bid of 5 per cent having
been placed, under and by virtue of
an order of the Superior Court of
Vance County, 1 will offer for re-sale,
at public auction, to the highest bid
der for cash, at the court house door,
in Henderson, Vance County, N. C.,
at 12 o’clock, noon, on Monday, De
cember 18, 1933 the following describ
ed property:
Forty one acres of land more or
less, lying in Middleburg Township,
Vance County, N. C., and more par
ticularly described as follows: First
tract being forty acres of land more
or less, bounded by the lands of Rose,
J. A. Cooper, estate of Mrs. Opelia
Jones, being the land of J. G. Jones,
deceased as described in the office
of the Register of Deeds of Vance
County in hook 8 at page 342, and in
book 78 at page 282 to which d'dfeds
reference is here made. Second tract,
being one acre more or less as de
scribed in deed book 79 at page 286,
office of the Register of Deeds of
Vance County, being the second lot
conveyed to J. G. Jones by Board of
Education of Vance County.
The bidding on the above described
property will begin at $1155.00.

One tract of land adjoining the
lands of David West, R. J. Souther
land, Junius Matthews, and being lot
No. 2 in the Special Proceedings num
ber 1289, as docketed in book 4 at
*pa*ge 582, office of the Clerk of
Superior Court of Vance County, the
same containing 52 acres more or less,
and having bee n assigned to Henry
Matthews, and by him conveyed to
Will Matthews on October 30fh, 1924,
see deed book 134 at page 11 for full
description to which reference is here
