DAILY DISPATCH, THURSDAY, MAY 3, 1934 Blue Eagle Reproduction Requirements Elaborated NRA Announces Regulations Governing Display of New Code Design for Industry; Dozen Rulings Are Set Forth for Guidance of Those Using Emblem A statement by NRA offices in Washington of requirements and regu lations for display of the new style Blue Eagle for code adherents has been furnished to the Daily Dispatcn, and is as follows: I—The new Blue Eagle for mem bers of trade and industry operating under codes as well as the Blue Eagle for those operating under the Presi dent’s re-employment agreement are insignia of NRA protected by U. S. Design Patent No. 90793 1-2, and may not be reproduced without prior writ ten authorization from the National Recovery Administration. 2. —Reproduction authorizations Dre viously issued by the Insignia Section of NRA are exteneded to apply to Blue Eagles for trades and industries. 3. —The following requirements ap ply to all reproductions of Blue Eagles: 4. —No delivery of any Blue Eagle reproduction may be made for use of another person without a prior writ ten statement to the authorized re producer from such other person that he is complying with the sode for tne trade or industry to which the repro duction relates or (in the case of the President’s Re-employment Agreement Blue Eagle) that such other person is complying with the President’s Re-em ployment Agreement as extended by executive order dated April 14, 1934. 5. With this exception and the specific deletion authorized in para graph 6 of these requirements, nt Blue Eagle reproduction may vary from the patented design, date, regis tration number, wording or color coim bination of the official Blue Eagle excepting that it may be reproduced in any one solid color employed in the other printing or materials useci therein. 8. —No Blue Eagle shall ibe repro duced merely as a decoration. 9. —The printer and publisher of any book or of any newspaper, magazine or other periodical published at regu lar intervals is authorized to repro duce the Blue Eagle in any article about NRA or in the advertisement ol any person who has filed with such publication a written statement indi cating compliance with NRA as de scribed in paragraph 4 of these re quirements. 10. —Any reproduction authorization issued may be withdrawn for cause. 11. —Written authorization to repro duce the Blue Eagle. », ill be issued the Insignia Section, NRA, Washing ton, D. C., to any person certifying as follows: (a) His compliance with the cogc for his trade or industry and the reg istration number of his Blue Eag:a tor his trade or industry. (b) His compliance with the Presi dent's Re-employment Agreement as extended by executive order of April 14, 1934 (if there is no approved code applicable to him in making the re production). (c) His agreement to abide iby reg ulations of the NftA and these re quirements. The applicatien must t>. accompanied by a specimen of the in tended reproduction. 12.—These requirements supersede “NRA Circular No. 1” issued July 23 1933, and the “Interpretation of NRA Circular No. 1” dated September 27, 1933. •WORLD.
