Pirates Scuttle Richmond
Wilmington scuttled the Richmond
Colts last night in Wilmington 12 to 0
behind Winstert’s effective six hit pit
ching, The winners collected 16 hits
while the Colts hobbled seven times.
Hornets Defeat Norfolk
Charlotte defeated Norfolk last
night in Charlotte 5 to 1 as they col
lected nine hits off the offerings of
Spittler and Swain. Durham kept the
Tars six hits well scattered.
These were the only games played
in the Piedmont League yesterday
