F. Thompson who read a paper and made h. personal appeal in behalf of the Girl Scout Movement. Mrs. R. G. S. Davis in a brief but impressive talk recalled various inci dents which have occurred during her connection with the school after which she presented her son. Johnny Davis. He with his classmates of the sixth grade and their teacher, Mrs. A. H. Moore, gave the following program: Song, Faith of Our Fathers, in three parts. The Twenty-Four Psalm. Prayer Work done in various subjects dur ing the yfcar. English—Mary Charles Smith. Arithmetic— Paul Daeke. Georgarphy—lFriscilla Parham. The Country I Like Best in Geog raphy—Evelyn Baker. History—Ralph Murray. Health —Mamie Lee Bridgers. Farewell Message —Written by Mrs. R. G. S. Davis and delivered by the class in unison. The six papers which were read were selected as the best of each group written by all pupils of the grade and well deserved the applause and commendation which thev receiv ed. The organization of subjects mat ter, the style of writing and the man ner of presentation were a reflection of the excellent work that has been accomplished in the grade. Immediately following the last num ber the class joined in singing "Happy Birthday to You” and presented a love ly gift to Miss Agnes Moore. With this as a signal a number of other gifts were showered upon Miss Moore as birthday remembrance from teach ers, pupils and friends As a fitting climax to this happy occasion Mrs W. B. Parham with her usual charm presented Miss Moore with a beauti ful birthday cake which was a token from the organization. The eleven candles which were aglow wore sym bolic of her outstanding achievements during her eleven years of service with the school. She rendered thanks for the many lovely gifts but gave credit for her accomplishments to the loyal support and co-operation of her teachers and patrons. Mrs. J. M. Baity presided over the service of installation of new officers. These are as follows: President—Mrs. H T. Keller. First Vice-President Mrs. G. W. Furqueron. Second Vice-President Mrs. A. H. Moom. •Secretary—Mrs. D. L McCallum. Treasury—Mrs. C. C. Shaw. Following reports of the various committee? the president anpointed Mrs. S. P Pa f terson to supervise the grounds during the summer. Report were also given on progress made on the operetta which is scheduled for an early date and a list of the com mittees for costumes was read. Mrs. H. L. Kellar was appointed to represent the association in the or ganization which is being formed to work with the problems of juvenile delinquency. The attendance prizes were won by grades Two-A. and Six. The prizes were awarded permanently to Grades Two-A and Four, these grades having won the greater number of times dur ing the year. Following is a brief survey of the work accomplished by the committees during the year: Membership 101 members (15c paid for each member to State organiza tion .) Welfare—Lunch and milk furnished 30 children during winter and spring Clothes furnished to several during winter. Program—Very interesting and in structive programs; observed Fathers’ Night and honored the seniors that furnished Clark Street. Hospitality—'Refreshments for first meeting and for Senior Program.
