A big, strong, whole-hearted mass meeting with 500 students in attendance was held in Gerrard Hall Monday night for the purpose of letting the foot ball team know that, in the face of defeat by Davidson in Char lotte last Saturday, it still retained i the confidence and loyalty of the student body. The speakers among whom were Dr. Royster, and Rev. Hogue who had seen the game, seriously expressed confidence in the ability of the team to develop a strong scoring strength yet. The i opinion was given that the squad 1 handicapped by superior weight and a superabundance of material had not yet found itself. The game in Washington with Georgetown next Saturday will give the plaers a chance to demonstrate the reality of their ability to "come back." Rev.
