The regular routine of business was trans acted at the opening of the meeting and the rest of the time given over to Dr. Spruill, tuberculosis speci alist, who made a talk in the inter est of tuberculosis. I Dr. Spruill's salary is neither paid by the state nor the county, he said, but by the sale of the little Red Cross seals each December. He holds tu 'berculosis clinics throughout the 'state free of charge to state and county. He made an-interesting talk along the line of his work and told of the awful toll this dread disease has made in the state. Last year there were 30,000 cases of tubercu losis in North Carolina, three thous and of whom died. The majority of these cases were preventable, he said. He talked further on the prevention arid cure of tuberculosis and it is regrettable that more wom en were not present to hear him. , Owing to the preparations which were going on in the park for the carnival which was held last night, no other members were on the pro gram and the meeting was short, lasting about an hour. I tried different remedies and medicines, yet I continued to drag. "I decided to givk Cardui a trial, and found it was just what I really needed. It made me feel much strong er soon after I began to use It. I be gan to eat more, and the nervous, weak feeling began to leave. Soon I was sleeping good. "Cardui built me np as no otner tonic ever did. "I used Cardui with one daughter who was puny, felt bad and tired out all the time. It brought her right out, and soon she was as well as a , girl could be. We think there Is nothing like Cardui." ' Do not allow yourself to become weak and run-down from womanly troubles.
