minmmmninmimmmmmmmmmmmnimmmmg I A Statement Rom If. Cilley, Chief Engineer at the State Kosolta!. Klixtric Light Cummittek, Mor;r:mton, X. C. Gi:xti,i:mex: At your request I have examined the lant known as The Morgan ton Electric Lifht and Power Plant. I find that property owned by the plant consists of 1 house and lot well situated and convenient to water. 1 horizontal tubular boiler in a jood state of repair as far as I am able to determine from an external ex amination. 1 Mcintosh cv: Sevmour automatic engine. This engine can be put in first-class repair for a cost not exceeding 850. 2 25 K. V. generators made by the General Elec tric Co. These machines are practically new and are in first-class order. 2 15 K. V. generators. These machines are in o-ood shape and were discarded because they were too small for the present needs of the plant. Incase the plant is to be enlarged they may be used in con nection with the machines now in use and do very efficient work. The cost of the plant ns it now is has been esti mated to be about $15,000, which I have no doubt is correct, as it is an extensive plant. I would say that the present value of the plant is not far from $10,000, as there are few repairs need ed, with the exception of some street poles. The r wire is worth as much if not more now than it was when the plant was installed, owinjf to the advance r in copper. Very respectfully, j J. H. P.
