nrrcnELL. Revival Senriees Lost CSOO in Cash Death of Uncle John Portlier. Bakersville Mirror, April 6th. The Free Will Baptists closed a successful meeting at Mag netic City last week. There were about thirty conversions. Uncle John Fortner died at his home near Ledger on the first day of April, 1900. He was about 70 years of ae. His death was peaceful and tri umphant. Last Thursday evening while on his way from Little Rock Creek to Bakersvelle, J. H. Gouge lost $300 in cash. The money was in a large bill book, and Mr. Gouge did not miss it until after his arrival here. There were five $20 bills, . ten $10 bills and twenty $5 bills.
