" Well, old sport remember what General Sherman said. j A New Service Feature Beginning with this issue, we are printing each week an in stallment of the "Trey O'Hearts" Louis Joseph Vance's new novel which is appearing every Satur day night at the People's Theatre. The first appearance of the pictures will be on Saturday night, August 15. This new novel of Vance's is a thrillingly interesting, well writ ten piece of modern fiction and will be enjoyed greatly even by those of our readers who are unable to see the moving pictures. To those who can see the moving pictures of this great story, this story's being printed in the Herald will be an especially attractive feature. Nothing in the world helps one to enjoy and understand a play, motion picture or otherwise, as to be able to read the book slightly in advance. ' 'The ' 'Trey O'Hearts will be published just one day in advance of each series of the pictures. We urge all of our readers to avail themselves of the opportun ity to read the story and, then see the motion pictures, produced by the Universal Film Company and played by an all star cast of ac tors and actresses. The scenic effects in the motion pictures of this story are said to be unsur passed. The publication of our serial story: "The Ambition of Mark Truitt" recently started will have to be discontinued until af ter the "Trey O'Hearts" has been finished. We believe we are justified in taking this step, Although the "Ambition of Mark Truitt" i3 a big story and one thoroughly interesting, we be lieve most of our readers will appreciate the advantages of be ing able to read the "Trey 'O' Hearts", a story equally as good, especially when most of them can see the motion pictures of this story at the same time. Anyway, we ask you to read the first installment of the "Trey 0' Hearts", before you criticise us. It means an in crease in cost and a great deal of inconvenience to us to make the change-we are doing it solely in .the interests of bur i readers. JOS. B.
