Artillery pieces on displa; and seen in action, will t three 12 pound Napoleons, on four pound field piece, on Howitzer and a mortar. All ai illustrative of the type of ai tillcry which saw service i the Confederate Amy. Shoulder weapons, some for ty strung, will be displayed by the 6th North Carolina Regi ment and will include virtually every t.v|>e of musket or riil*' carried by Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. The pro gram which will commemor ate the one-hundredth anni versary of Colonel William Lamb's assuming command of Fort Fisher on July 4, 1862, will be in the form of an "old fashioned" Fourth of July. Events will begin at precisely 4:30 p. in. and -will conclude with a mammoth firework.; display at approximately 8:15 p. m. Among the featured speak ers are Mr. Edmund Harding ef Washington, North Carolina, and Dr. James 1. Robertson. Executive Director of the Na tional Civil War Centennial Commission.
