LLOYD 1IINSON WRITTEN FOR LAST WEEK Mrs. Ray Duncan, a recent bride* was honored Friday evening with a shower, at the Fellowship Hall of the church. Co-hostesses were Mis. Byron Cox and Mrs. Johnnie Powell. The honoree was presented a corsage of white roses upon arrival. Games were directed by Mrs. Johnnie Powell and Miss An gelia Powell. Prize winner was Mrs. IvTaure Gore. The Hall was pretty with ar rangement of white gladiolus , and greenery. The gift table was covered with a white linen cloth and laden with gifts. After the honoree opened her many nice and useful gifts, refreshments were served from ; an appointed table, overlaid with a white linen cloth and centered with an arrangement of white lilies and greenery·. Miss Carolyn Duncan served punch from a Crystal Punch Bowl. Misses Linda Duncan. Saundra and Shelie Cox. Mrs. Bennie Duncan and Mrs. John nie Powell and Mrs. Byron Cox assisted in serving nuts, potato chips, vegetabl thins, ritz crackers with cheese spread, mints and cup cakes to ap proximately thirty guests. Miss Linda Duncan presided j at the register. The Bethel Home Demon stration Club met recently at the home of Mrs. Johnnie Powell. Mrs. Powell gave the devotion. Mrs. Elaine Blake. Home Agent of Whitev.Ue gave the Demonstration on Dress For The Occasion. Mrs. J. C. Ward. Jr. gave out pamphlets on Table Setting and Care. Ques tions and Answers Session fol lowed. The hostess served assorted cookies and soft drinks to the eight membbers present. Vacation Bible School closed at Bethel Friday. We had a very successful one and we wish lo thank each and everyone who helped in any way.
