All articles prepared by Navahos shall carry the name of the author, and shall be accom panied by an English summary. The views expressed in such articles do not necessarily re present those of this Agfency, nor of the editor. It is our hope that an ever increasing number of Navahos will con tribute regularly, with the end in view of ultimately making this publication a paper by and for the Navaho people. dooleel. ’Ef doodagogo Waashindoondi da la’ ’atah dah dinoodaal, jo ’akon. ’Ako’oolyeenii yqq dff ’ef ba’alchfnf. The people of the western reservation are solidly behind those who are trying to increase our school facili ties. We want adequate schools, and we want a vocat ional training program like that which we had formerly. With the little schooling I have had, I have worked for the government now for 17 years. I have worked in a number of places over the reservation, and in a number of capacities. In school I learned baking, wagon repair, blacksmithing, and dairying. At present I am the baker here as the Tuba City school. My children are growing up speaking English, and I have great hopes of their con tinuing their education through college. Education is the only answer to our problems, because we can make a liv ing by means of i.t, and it is a passport to the world out side the reservation. Let those who have no schooling, and who can no longer hope to get an education continue to live on livestock. But let's take them by the hand and give them all the heJp we can so they will not get any farther behind than necessary.
