CUR LEY PLANS TO SHOW MIKE TO FANS HERE Boss of Boek Island Feather la Town to Sound Sentiment of Trl-Cltles. Tri-clty boxing fans who havo been clamoring for a chance of see ing Mike Dupdee, Rock Island's bid for the crown now carried by Johnny Kilbane, may have their wish gratified, if plans of Dick Cur ley, East Chicago promoter and manager of Mike's ring destinies, carry through. Curley slipped down to Rock Is land yesterday to sound out the prospects of showing Mike to the home folks, and will remain a few days to give careful stucy to the situation. Tentative plans call for staging the show at the Illinois theatre. Curley feels reasonably sure local boxing fans would turn out in droves If offered the opportunity of glimpsing Mike in action. He is willing to match Dundee against any first class featherweight who would be willing to come here, and with that end in view is already negotiating for a likely opponent There are comparatively few good featherweights in this section of the country willing to take a chance against the formidable Mike and if Curley fail3 to land one capable of giving him a real argument, he plans to hustle Mike east for en gagements at Madison Square gar den.
