U. en campment next week will lie the finest ever seen in Rock Island, and when those attending the K. P. encampment and Woodnien corner stone laying are considered, these will r lie- on an elalorate scale, ndeed. The committee, composed of F. G. Younflr. Louis Kohn. Frank Collins, R. Crampton, Hugh A. J. McDonald. James Eckhart. Wil liam Hartz. Henry Krell and John Linn, has proven one of the most in dustrious in connection with the coming encampment, and deserves the success that is promised for it. and the cooperation of all business men and citizens generally in giving Kock Island a gay appearance on this great patriotic occasion. 1 he dates of the encampment, it is understood, reads from August 9 to 12 inclusive, so that it means a4-davs encampment altogether. The last 11 probably witness the general wind-up of the affairs if thej dele gates remain that day. Rock Islaud will make it pleasant for the visitors as long as they are in the city. Accidents.
