Lyford, absconding1 dep uty treasurer of Rock Island county, has'Leen captured. . He is held a prisoner in Miami Na tion, Indian Territory, and today Gov. Yates issued a requisition ou the gov ernor of the territory for his extradi tion. During the week Sheriff W.- (J. Hei der left the city, his assistants giving out the information that lie had gone to New York City in connect inn with a case pending in the circuit court. Instead, it is understood he went to identify the man hell in Miami Nation. For weeks there has been corre spondence between the authorities of Miami Nation and the Uock Island county sheriff, the latter demanding full description of the prisoner be fore he was satisfied to make the trip to identify him. as the letters from lirlian Territory were not unlike the thousands he has been receiving since the disappearance of Lyford from all points of the globe.
