pending in said court: that summons
has been issued against you therein,
and that the premises described in said
petition are as follows, namely:
Certain lands and premises situate in
said county of Rock Island, to-wit:
That certain tract or parcel of land
bounded and described as follows, to
wit: Commencing at the southwest
corner of the northeast quarter of sec
tion twenty-seven (27), in township
seventeen (17) north of range three
(8) west of the fourth principal merid
ian: thence running east twenty (2)
chains, more or less, along the south
line of said quarter section to a point
therein distant twenty (20) chains west
from the southeast corner of said quar
ter section ; thence running north along
the west line of that Dart of said quar
ter section conveyed by Samuel M. Ho
ney to K. H. Bowman by deed bearing
date Nov. 25, A. D. 1S65, and said line
prolonged northerly ten (10) chains,
more or less, to the center of the pub
lic road: thence running west along the
center of the public road twenty (201
chains, more or less, to the west line of
said quarter section; thence running
south along the west line of said quar
ter section ten (10) chains, more or
less, to the place of beginning. Also
the east half of the southeast quarter
of section twenty-eight (28), in said
township seventeen (17), north of
range three (3i west of the fourth
principal meridian: lot two (2) and the
west half of the south half of lot three
(3) of the subdivision of the north half
of the southwest quarter of said sec
tion twenty-seven (27): and the undi
vided half of lot five (5), in block
thirty-six (36), In the town of Andalu
sia. Now. unless you shall personally be

the first day of the term thereof, to be
