M., at Masonic temple last evening re
flected all of the officers for another
term. Dr. W. T. Magill, the treasurer
of the chapter, was reelected to serve
his 25th year in that office. With the
coming year he will have rendered the
chapter a service of a quarter of a cen

Death of Aimer Gull is Announced
at Augustana Col
lege.
GRADUATE OF INSTITUTION
Assistant Instructor of Mathematics
for Two Years. Former Associ
ates Pass Resolutions.
At Augustana college the student
body has received the sad news from
Goodhue. Minn., of the death of Aimer
Gull, a graduate of the institution in
1904, and a nephew of Dr. C. W. Foss.
Mr. Gull was a brilliant student and
was an assistant instructor in mathe
matics during his last two years at the

college. He was a man of high moral
character and of equally high standing
among the tsudents. The students
union met and passed resolutions to be
read at the funeral, sending also a
floral tribute. After finishing his
studies at the college Mr. Gull taught
school for a year at Andover. 111., after
which his heal'h failed him and death
resulted in a few months from tuber

A new magazine has been published
by the society of Belle Lettres. It is
an excellent work and is called, "Juer
unnan." It contains articles from the
foremost Swedish men of letters of the
country, is richly illustrated and con
tains many interesting sketches from
this country and Sweden.
Dr. C. E. Lindberg has just returned
from New York where he attended the
40th anniversary of the Gustavus
Ado'phus congregation of which he
was a pastor several years ago.
Resolutions of Respect.
At a regular meeting of Division CO,
B. of L. E.. held Dec. 3. 1905. the fol
lowing resolutions were unanimously
adopted:
Whereas. It is with profound sor
row that we are called upon to record
the death of our brother, W. W. Scott
who died at his home in this city Nov
26. 1905;
Resolved. That in the death of Bro
ther Scott our brotherhood has lost a
worthy member, the community an up
right citizen, and his family a kind and
loving husband and father.
Resolved, That we extend to his be
reaved family out heartfelt sympathy
in this their hour of affliction, and prav
that God in His mercy will enable them
to bear their great sorrow.
Resolved, That, as a tribute of in
spect to our departed brother, our char
ter be draped in mourning for a period
of 30 days; that a copy of these resolu
tions be presented to the bereaved fam
ily, spread upon the records of this
division, and also published in the local
papers.

For the musical and literary enter
tainment to be given in the high school
assembly room Friday evening, the

secured. A reader is promised from
Augustana college and the orchestra
of the Moline Young Men's Christian
Association has consented to assis.
