THE BEE HIVE 114-116 W. Second St., Davenport IngaJls' Jewelry Store HAS NO EQUAL IN THIS CITY. The best achievement in the history of the local jewelry field is the INGALLS STORE. It Is literally the BEST. .The triumph is in the skill and the conscience that maintains our standard. It requires a high sort of art and a large imagination to select presents wisely. Wild and promiscuous stocks may be pushed to the front for some sort of recognition as jim-cracks. Some of them may be good enough. Many doubtless are. But what folly to attempt to convince this public that any of them measure up to the matchless per fection of the Ingalls Jewelry store? All who know quality and have a keen sense of humor will enjoy the situation, and yet there is a large element of the pathetic in the general scramble. Tradition, reputation, and genuine merit has in three months brought The Ingalls Store into high esteem. The faded platitudes of advertising make melancholy reading. When they are not sad they are droll and either strain is as dry as fallen leaves. Nothing can take the place of character. Back of the character that distinguishes us is Intelligence and truth telling. That's the basis of our daily announcements.
