The use of tent colonies at Watertown hospital for untidy cronic and disturbed patients has been tried this summer with satisfactory re suits. These patients, who give hos pital attendants the greatest concern have been housed all summer in tents :n woods near the main buildings, and the report of Superintendent Taylor says that "patients heretofore greatly disturbed have become quiet, they sleep well, their appetites 'arc raven nns, and all but one have discontinued their untidy habits." The tent colony for consumptives at the Bartonville asylum has shown that the per capita cost is $.r0 a year, and that the patients improve.
