This seems to close the final incident in the celebrated cruelty case as a result of which Mrs. McKinney was adjudged insane and is still confined at the Wa tertown hospital. The suit was filed last January as a sequel to the criminal prosecution of Mrs. McKinney, who was charged with criminal cruelty toward Miss Grady, who was her orphan ward. Tlu suit was entered in the name of Miss Margaret Gilmore, now Mrs. George Weldling, of Aledo. Graham and Thomason represented Miss Grady, but March 21 they withdrew and Judg3 Connell of Aledo. and Judge C. J. Searieof Rock Island entered the suit as representative of Miss Grady on March 22. The declaration was filed on March 2.'5. At the same time Cooke. Wilson & McArthur took charge of the case for the M c Kinney s, and at the April term asked a change of venue. This was argued but nothing was de cided. All Cluim.H Itrleiixctl.
