County Hoard Not Heady to Enter

for Spans Over Ruck Itiver.
If any new bridges between Rock
Island and Henry county across Rock
river are built In the near future,
Henry county will have to do thM
building, for the board of supervisors
indicated vesterday that Rock Island
county is not ready to enter into any
partnership in the project. Henry anl
Rock Island county supervisors havi
considered the Colona bridge question
for over a year, and recently a reso
lution by the Henry county board
called for the building of two bridges.
The resolution appropria'ed Henry
county's share of the cost.
I.nltl the Tnhle.
When the communication of the
Henry county clerk, and the resolu
tions of the board were received, they
were promptly laid on the table, it
is doubtful if Rock Island county can
be forced to participate in the bridge
building project ince the county has
no funds to meet the cost. The esti
mated cost of one of the bridges was
over $30,000. Unless some other ways
and means are devised, the bridges
must be built by Henry county or re
main unconstructed.
The supervisors concluded their
work yesterday afternoon.
