The clerk read reports of various city officers for the month of Febru ary, which, on motion, were received and ordered filed. The clerk read petitions to open par ing to connect sewer, and for the ex tension of sewers and water mains. Re ferred, on motion of Alderman Mc Nealy, to the sewer and waterworks committees, with power to act. The mayor read a report stating that Dr. Magncsoo of Angnstana col lege Is willing to act as city bacter iologist for on month at a salary of $75 a month, bis compensation to be permenently fixed at the end cf 1 that period.
