The opportunities for pood, however, are considered almost equal in hiph schools to those in colleges, many pu pils leavinc school and losing an op portunity f'-r a higher education be raufee of lai k of temporary assistance in a financial way. If such fund is provided it wfll be placed in the hands .of trustees and kept at interest, the income being loaned to needy students. While the sort of security to be given has not been decided it is the practice in ether schools, where such funds are available, to merely require the stu dent to take out a small lire Insurance policy for reimbursement in case of death. If the student lives experience has thown that the percentage of fail ures to repay such loans is negligible, the moral obligation being btrong enough to afford a reasonable guaran tee. Something different in the program of the Alumni association is promised this year by the committee in charge. A member of each class since 1874 has been delegated to prepare a record of his classmates up to date and to pre sent it at fhe meeting. This will be a strong drawing card. There will be the usual reception to the new class and musical numbers mil! be given. The junior class will erve the refreshments and they will a'.so have charge of the decorating of the high school. To give variety it has been decided to have a "Mother Goose parade" In nhich a representative of each class w.!l be akd to appear in costume and recite a Mother Goose rhyme. A. J.
