Allow me to correct your correspondent where he is in error in his statements. First. Mr. Wheelock gave tho house rent free for the first year only; second, Ithe discount made in his bill was $11.10, being pro rata tor $ ot a month, the deed bears date to the 10th of March and the discount was made to correspond therewith. It seems that when the deed was made the matter of rent was mentioned to the party drawine the deed and it was under stood by him and Mr. Wheelock that the rent should run to the 1st of April the end of the year. This member of the board was not present at the meeting when the bills cam 3 before the board for pay ment. Had the board known ot this understanding, of course the bill would have been allowed, Allow me to suggest to Justice the propriety of ascertaining the facts before he rushes into print with matters with which he has no concern.
