A Woman's Attempt to Treeot ft Snlcide Keault in Double Tragedy. Falxtka. Ohio, Aug. 6. Wednesday morning about 8 o'clock, John Jones, aged Si, shot Mrs. Charles Uerwin five times iui then killed him elf. Jones is a single man and was employed as a farm band on Merwin'a place, at Dia mond station, and Wednesday morning said he was going, to kill himself. Mrs. Iderwin interfered, and tried to pre vent him from tarrying out his vow. He told Mrs. Merwin not to interfere or he would kill her, aud while trying to take the revolver from him, Jones shot her in tbe face, arms, leg and groin. After this terribie act, Junes went into a clump of bushes near tne house and shot himself through tbe bead, dying almost in stantly. Mrs. Merwin can hardly recover. The Knights of Pythias.
