Albert Mack, the colored evange

euee over the Union the other night
to tho extent of having a ut of
himself publishod in its columns
yesterday morning with the best en
dorsement the paper could give,
called at The Auiiis oflice this morn
ing to tell how h s did it, and also to
relate something of his own life.
Mack says his position is that of king
of the Fred Doug as Y. M. L. A., and
that he was formerly employed by
the colored branch of the Y. M. C. A.",
but that he was rot treated right in
that work and quit it. The Y. M. C.
A. publications, however, tell a dif
ferent story of Mr. Mack, and pro
claim him as a hi mbug, or words to
that effect. Nevertheless, Mack will
open his Salvatio l work in Kock Isl
and at the Second Baptist church to
night, taking for his discourse the
somewhat striking topic, "The
Speckled Bird."
