Portent of all activities, when the club
conducted its first Water Sports Car
nival at the Weymouth Ave. dock.
This was in the form of a contest be
tween two teams of about ten mem
- bers chosen -equally from among the
club members and . their friends—the
Maroons and the Whites. The pro
gram was certainly interesting and
novel, and will probably be followed
, * by others, run on a larger scale and
open for boys under sixteen through
out the city.
Following, were the events: Short
distance swim, cross country style;
Hand Paddling Canoe Race; Fifty
; - Yard Dashes for older and younger
¥ *»pys; Canoe Doubles; Hurry Scurry
Race between two picked crews of
three, swimming to canoes, climbing

in and paddling back; Team Relay
Race; Diving competition; Whale con
test—a water tug-o-war battling for a
wooden “whale", and finally canoe tilt
ing bouts, between crew of three mem
bers, two crews from each team.
Prizes offered by interested Vent
nor people, will be awarded at the
pext club meeting for first and second
places In Individual Bcores, and the
winhing team will be treated to Some
form of group excursion or other ac
tivity.
The Club baseball team will be soon
underway In a league competition with
two other city teams. This league
will probably last until the end orf the
summer.
