tion of the veteran Max Figman, so
enjoy ably remembered for his produc
tion of “The Man On The Box,” "Noth
ing But The Truth,” “Pine Feathers."
“The Triith Wagon,” Ibsen’s “Doll’s
House,” etc. Max Figman’s connec
tion with “Meet The Wife” insures a
night of merriment and gayety it may
well be assumed.

The play revolves about the mone
tary difficulties of a young Inventor
who while living in his mother-in
law’s Riverside Drive'Mansion is yeti
on his last penny. The action of the
piece- takes place In the model kitchen 1
of the mansion at a time when the
young couple have just disguised them
selves In each other’s clothing to pro
vide the masquerade costumes neces
sary to. attend a ball for which they
have tickets but not the necessary cash
to secure costumes for. Just as the
disguises are assumed two fashionably
gowned women accompanied by two
gentlemen in evening clothes arrive to
inspect some valuable draperies which

because of the mistaken identity of
the members of-the household and the
real purpose of the call of the visitors.

fles type bent on stealing the draperies
and his invention. Thfe police are call
ed; the true worth of the Invention is
