WILLING WORKERS ELECT OFFICERS AT MEETING WED. j Miss Anna Williams entertained the Willing Workers Wednesday afternoon at her home, 4925 Ventnor avenue. The meeting was unusually well at tended and proved very interesting. The annual election of officers was held, resulting as follows: President.; Mrs. Robert Bartlett; Vice-Prestdent, j . Mrs. G. Arthur Bolte; Secretary, Mrs. Walter Rulon, and Treasurer, Mrs. iFrank Moore. Plans were made for a card party to be held about January 26 for the benefit of charities in which the club is interested.. After the meeting Miss Williams served her guests with dainty refresh ments. , The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. E. F. Taylor, 9 New Haven avenue, south, on January 19. The members present were; Mrs. G. Arthur Bolte, Mrs. Carl M. Voelker, Mrs. Robert Bartlett, Mrs. Albert J. Feyl, Mrs. Halliday Jackson, Mrs. James Leed, Mrs.- Howard Moore, Mrs. ' David Moore, Mrs. Fred Rogers, Mrs. . Walter Rulon, Mrs. W. W. Dare, Mrs. Gordon Fox, Mrs. E. F. Taylor, Mrs. John Westcott, Mrs. William Burch and Mrs. Frank Moore. PATROLMAN FINDS FORD. Patrolman Geissinger found a stray Ford automobile at Ventnor and Fred ericksburg avenues the other night and, inasmuch as no one claimed the machine at the time he was ready to go off duty in the morning, he took the abandoned car to headquarters. 'Chief Frings got busy and ascertained from Motor Vehicle Agent Orr that > the car belonged to M. Freeman. 2301 Atlantic avenue, Atlantic City. Upon being notified the owner claimed the car and explained that one of his em-' ployes had taken the car out the night before and had gotten stalled, leaving it there in the hope of getting ft the following day. The employe was quite disturbed when he failed to find the cgr. ' _V_■ TO PURCHASE AUTO. The County Board of Freeholders ; lias called for bids for a sedan auto mobile for the use of' the sheriff in the performance of his duties. The bids are to be opened at a meeting of the Board on January 12. The Board hopes to make a deal whereby a Hud * : . son sedan now owned by the County will be taken in exchange. NEW YEAR’S PARTY. ' Mrs. , Cora Raith and Mrs. Sarah Raith entertained at a New Year’s Eve3 Party Friday evening at their home, Brighton and Pacific avenues. The evening was . spent in playing cards and at midnight, the guests cele brated* the arrival of the New Year with horns, confetti, etc. Later a de lightful luncheon was served. The guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Leeds, Mr. and Mrs. Lylbum Albert son, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Moore, Mrj and Mrs. S. Hudson Vaughn, Mr. and Mrs. W. Chandler Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Godfrey, Dr. and Mrs. C. William Raith, Mr. and Mrs. George Bailey. TAX DUPLICATES DUE MONDAY. Notice has been sent to 34 County Assessors by Secretary F. B. Coll, of the. County Board of Taxation that all tax duplicates must be filed with the County Board not later than January 10. • • Upon receiving the field books and duplicates the same will be compared and audited.
