M. E. BLATT CO. “The Department Store of Atlantic City” M. E. BLATT CO. frim Tailor Suits There is no denying that navy has its place under the sun when it conies to Spring suits, but this season it has given way just 'M' enough to let homespuns, tweeds in high colors, and trelair.es in tans and greys creep in. The desire for softer effects is accom panied by becoming lines with either a touch of fullness at the waist or a broadening of the belted effects. Neat trimming, tight fitting sleeves, patch pocket and the un usualness of uneven length skirt are dis tinguishing features of the new season’s styles shown in the Women’s apparel sec ' J-r tion on the Third Floor. » ’ PRINGTIME has arrived at the M.E.Blatt Co. store. Not the ^calendar Springtime, but that occasion much nearer and dearer to a woman’s heart—the Springtime of Fashion that brings her new styles for the gladsome days to come. Even if you are not quite ready to select your new costume you must be anxious to know just what you will have to choose from. And here, that you may know, are the styles that accent the attractiveness of the American woman, and they are a revelation of lovliness to say the least. Sports Wear Leads The Season’s Styles * Outdoor life has set its distinguish ing mark on Spring wear for 1922 and the garment of the most frequent service will be on sport lines. With the fringed skirt and sharply con trasted color effects come 'a wide variety of decisive novelties which will appeal to the woman who enjoys being most attractively clad. Each day brings forth new arrivals— notably swagger, mannish tweeds— creations that have taken the de- - signers hours and hours to plan— that’s what makes them so wonderful. The Newer Capes The day of the cape seems close at hand. No woman could doubt it for an instant when she sees the marvelous lovely capes that are making their appearance, for Spring. They vary in as many modes of shaping as they do in length and coloring. And no style is more “rejuvenating” than the flaring, fluttering cape that conceals the too-wide or too-narrow hips in a sweeping, straight, flat, youthful line. They are equally correct for street and formal oc casions. The materials come in fabrics which, starting at those of web-like light ness, pass through all the weaves and mix tures to those of full warm weights. Many styles of capes are shown on the Third Floor. Spring Dresses are Strikingly Different Fashion has exercised much care in selecting her materials and choosing her styles for Spring. Taffeta has found a worthy rival in the soft, . supple Crepes and Satins—and quaint basque effects vie with the new side drapes and straight line modes. Tra ditions of romance and mystery and old world lure have been ingeniously interwoven with the very texture of the wide-ranging fabrics of the new frocks, as well as into theif marvelous coloring and design. Seldom has one season had so many attractionff'to of fer as are shown in the Dress section. The Diversified Blouse The new blouse has diversified charmd. Secure in its handmade prestige, the little white Blouse of voile or batiste is an estab lished favorite for a multitude of occasions. For grace and elegance, the Overblouse of beaded Georgette or crepe de chine is match less, though the embroidered model is a spirited rival. The new Blouses in slip over style with the favored low waist-line are extremely smart and the new Peasant modes are gay and lovely. / PP“ME.BLATT CO.
