Absecon Notes By Violet Conover ' Reopen Church December 2 has been set as the date for the re-opening of the M. E. Church at Absecon, N. J. The church has been closed for some time while undergoing repairs. The re-opening date was decided upon at a meeting held at the home of Mr. Lewis Bow ker, Absecon Inn. There will be special services at the church on that date. Dr. Alexander Corson, District Superintendent, will be the morn ing speaker on the opening day. A special program is being ar ranged for a week of services in which a number of mainland and Atlantic City pastors will take part. Although the date of the founding of the church and the date of the celebration do no! coincide, it will be in a way at anniversary service for the church. The church was incor porated 100 years ago, althougl the present church building ii only 93 years old. Rev. Alfonso Dare, pastor o: St. Paul’s Church, and Rev George H. Neale, pastor of th First M. E.
