Guarantee of the Republican Party to the People of New Mexico The pledging of all delegates , to the Constitutional Convention, elected from ranks of the Repub lican Party, to the . adoption of a safe, sound and fundamentally simple constitution which will guarantee and preserve to all the people of the proposed new State all of their civil, political and re .hgious rights, and which shall be . sufficiently broad, expansive and , flexible, to authorize and insure legislation necessary to secure the best welfare of the people of all classes and conditions. At it Again Roy has a new paper called the Roy end Solai.o Herald, but it does not say who its editor might be. Report says A. S. Bushke vitz is behind the new enterprise. Roy finds another newspaper about as' n;cessary as a thirty story hotel. The outfit is said to have been used in Sprir.ger at one time. Springer Stockman. You are correct. Roy has a nother paper but it is not printed with the out-lit that was used in Springer. The same outfit is here but it is tied ,up so it cannot beJ used. The dope sheet is printed in Denver, and consists mostly of Hot Air, of which the editor has plenty. Our hustling little neighbor, Roy, is at it again, and this time it looks like a tight to a hnisn un der no special rules. An election for v;llage officials was to have been held there Tuesday, some people contending that it would be illegal, while others had plac ed a ticket in the field. Anyway an injunction stopped the whole proceedings, so now a bitter feel .ing prevails. It has' long" been hoped that Roy would stop her foolishness,' she is old enough to know better, and it is the general beiief that she is getting in a po sition to do so, and has gotten on the right track, which will lead to á better-Roy with a more pros perous and more contented people.-' Springer Stockman. Yes brother Hutchinson it is true that the Taxpayers and Lead ing citizens of the town stopped the election. It was not a tight against the incorporation of the town, but aright agflinst the big Bloat that wanted to be our May or,' the man who says he has a clean record, but he cannot prove it. Roy is indeed on the right track to make a cleaning and a cleaning it will sure be. The matter of cari'ying guns should be taken before the text grand jury. It is an insult to the community to have armed men with pistols on the street in what is supposed to be a civilized, town. How long will this continue? Who is responsible for this? Roy and Solano Herald. We certainly believe that the carrying of guns should by all means be stopped in the new state of New Mexico, and the first one to start on should oe the editor of the common paper, better known as the Roy and Solano Herald, wlo does not walk on the street with out a six-shooter or an arm ed body guard.
