Liauor flowed freely, and what usually goes with that sort of en tertainnient,. speeches unprint able. No doubt the wives and cm dren of these boosters" are of a different mind. But Roy representative citizens7 are equally culpable. Chris tain young men were solicited for contribu tions with which to buy "booze' A strange way to advertise town advertising its shame. The above was extracted from the New Mexico prohibition or gan issued at Albuquerque and no doubt was supplied by one Rev. J. Wilbur Rose, a migratory preacher that occassionally gets hungry and has to come to Roy for a square meal, we are in a position to refute the charges made by that guy. Luncheon was served at the smoker but liquors were not, those that want ed such ordered as much as they pleased. We absolutely cannot see where this hybrid had any kick coming. In the first place he 7as not asked to attend the smoker and after all what busi ness did he have there. It was a business men's gathering and ever ybody there conducted them selves in a respectful manner. Royites have always shown them selves appreciative ot sucn vis itors as the Trinidad "Roosters" and any time another bunch comes along, they shall be entertained, regardless of any kick registered by such men of the caliber of one Rev.' Rose. A YEAR OF INTEREST on a good savings account is no small item in the sum total that a pass book shows. Mora Coun ty is going 500 strong for Bur-sum. About Our Roy Candidates Roy has four candidates on the Republican and Democratic tick ets to be yoted upon on the 7th day of November. F. M. With us it is not so much party vote as it is support ing our oun candidates from this end of the County. Mr. Russel is an able scholar and has proven his ability to the satisfaction of all. v - Bursum Gaining Votes Democrats, Too of The Otero County Advertiser, the Sierra County Advocate and other newspapers, formerly demo cratic, have announced that they will support Holm O. It seems that the Democratic party didn't have any better material for the Job.
