These articles ure prepared for publi cation by the First Precinct Safety Officers of the Detroit Police De- j partment in an effort to reduce the disgraceful toll of deaths and j injuries by automobiles upon the; streets of Detroit. Since the first of this year 196 1 persons have been killed and 8.793 injured in traffic accidents.
