1 cup sifted cake flour; 1 tea
spbon double-acting baking powder;
% teaspoon salt; 4 tablespoons
butter or other shortening: 2
squares unsweetened chocolate,
melted; *<j cup sugar; 2 eggs, well
beaten: cup chopped nut meata;
’» cup chopped ralslna; 4 table
spoons chopped candied cherries:
4 tablespoons chopped candled
pineapple.

Miss Harrison played a long aud

predominantly of Liszt composi
tions and arrangements. The play
ing of these dfflcult numbers ex
pressed Miss Harrison’s unusual

The first group of compositions
were three by Bach, arranger' by
Busoni, and one by Liezt. In the
second group. Mist Harrison play
ed two Chopin numbers The third
group was Lisst's Sonata in B min
or. Next came Da iSon’s "Ansiono,
and K. vel's "Sonatina”. The last
: group included the "Trout" by

coffee, and dainty sandwiches, from
