So much so I am certain you can help me with my problem. Stated briefly, my problem is just tlms, 1 am deeply devoted to a certain young man. Sometimes 1 think it's love and then I'm not sure. If I don't marry him now I'm afraid I may lose him. but losing him- isn't half so uncertain. I have a job and would like to keep it fo r a year longer but if I marry I lose my Job. What would you advise? —Bewildered Bewildered: Your problem to me Is a very simple one. Marriage is a great responsibility, before entering it one should he willing to make sac rifices in order to preserve one's marriage. If you ar# not willing to do this, then you aren't ready for marriage. If you have a phobia now please wait until you lose that fear. Your pride no doubt prompted you to consider marriage, the tear of losing him to another. If you really loved him I would say go to it, hut since you don't or since the uncertainty, let time adjust the change between you. Your Advisor, Jean Macolm. Dear Jean: 1 have been a very happy married w’oman untin a month or so ago, that 1> when my husband left me. We were buying a home together and both every day. It waa a great sacrifice for both of us to make the payments on our home each end every month. It was my husband's idea to start buying while we were young. 1 also have g two year-old daughter. For some unknown reason my husband just left without a word and quit the Job he had been on for the past ten yeare. I love him very much and can't understand why he has done this. I tried the best I knew how to make g good wife and we seemed to be very happy. It will be an Impossibility for me to carry on the responsibility that I have. If l only knew where he was or why he left; please will you advise me w'hat to do? —Distressed. Dear Distressed: My dear, my advise to you would be to try and rent your home out and get a room for yourself and child. Thla will help ylu some fi nancially. Has your husband been 111 at anytime that you know of? If I were you I would Inquire about his past life to see If his disap pearance has been due to an ill ness of some kind. Also do all you poseihly can to try and locate him for fear there is Illness or trouble that you could help him that he probably did not want to worry you about. If it turns out that he was just tired of being married and having too much reaponbility; I would advise you to forget him. Jean Macolm. O.E.S. COLUMN F.
