According to witnesses, the de
fendant went to the home of
Mack Mayes. 131 Kendall, and
s«ked Mrs. Mayes if h'e could
talk with his wife Klolse. After
some conversation with the com
plainant. he is alleged to havp
pulled a gun from his coat
pocket and pointed It at her. She
said h*' told her that he was go
ing o kill her At this moment
Mack Mayes came in the rear
door and grabbed Thomas ami
disarmed him. The defendant es
caped in the alley.
Mrs. Mayes railed the Highland
Park police and turned the re
volver over to them They later
arrested the defendant at .To 1
