The drawing are about ^ complete and will in a few days be sent to the litogiapher, Letters have been addressed to the county supervision of the State for the purpose of learning the exact number miles and the location of the improved highway, of the State.The map will not be colored, but will contain the plan skeleton outline with the public highways and the ( railroads. I he improved roads will be mark- ^ : sd by red lines with distances be- 1 twec-n different points. The gaso'ine stations will be marked on the map _S( so that an automobilists traveling ^ through the State may ascertain wheie this very necessary material Re lor motoring may be obtained. Une or the most important ioad- 11 ways to be shown will be the Capital Highway, which extends form the ^ North Carolina line to North Augusta on the Savanah River. There arc in South < arolitia apprqimately 45,000 miles of public highways and a large number of *n' miles are being improved each year. Another important locdway to be ^1 shown will be the National highway which extends acros s the Piedmont section of the State.
