PAGE TEN Oil Permittees Can Now Secure Extension Os Time The United States Land Office at Lander, Wyoming, has received a co py of the Act of Congress, Approved January 11th, 1922 (Public N. 127) which provides that the ecretarSy of the Interior Is authorized to extend the time to comply with the require ments of permits issued under section 13 of the Leasing Act as to drilling to not exceed three years upon the pro per being made by the applicants. Such applications should be in the form of an affidavit and corroborated by at least one disinterested witness having actual knowledge of the facts; state fully what efforts, if any, have been made to comply with the terms of the permit and reasons tor delay in compliance therewith. The affidavit must also show the’ time when It is proposed to commence j operations and any arrangements have been made tor complying with the terms of the permit. Tell ns about it.
