is of record in the office of the Coun
ty Clerk and Ex-Officio Register of
Deeds In and for Park County, State
of Wyoming, at Cody, Wyoming, in
Book No. 6 of location Notice Re
cords at Page No. 228 thereof.
That said claim and premises, to
gether with the surface ground there
in contained and hereby sought to be

On the north by the Red OH
i Placer Min’ng Claim;
On the south by Vacant unoccupied
Government land;
On the east by the Wilson No. 2
and Wilson No. 1 1 OH Placer Mining
Claims;
On the west by Vacant unoccupied
Government land;
Any and all persons claiming ad
versely to the said oil placer mining
claim and premises or any part there
of, so above described and applied
for, are hereby notified that unless
their claims are duly filed according
to law’ and the regulations thereun
der, within the time provided by law,
with the Register of the United
States Land Office at Lander, Fre
mont County, Wyoming, they will be
barred by virtue of the provisions of
said statutes.

MONDELL URGING RE-
CLAMATION AS PART OF
COMPENSATION MEASURE
Western States will be particularly
interested in the action of Floor Lead
er Mondell, who has from the first
strongly urged reclamation in con
nection with adjusted compensation
legislation.
During the Christmas holidays the
Associated Press carried Mr. Mon
dell’s declaration, made after a con
ference with the President, that an
adjusted compensation bill would be
passed at the present session of con
gress. On the assembling of Con
gress January 4th, the Floor Lea'i t
placed adjusted compensation first on
the program for the session.
Carrying out the details of the pro
gram outlined by Mr. Mondell, the
Ways and Means committee of the
House will very soon take up the ques
tion of adjusted compensation, and
Mr. Mondell is very earnest in his be
lief that a general plan of reclama
tion development—a plan to furnish
ex-service men who desire them—
farm homes and an opportunity to
help develop them, should be one of
the principal features of the legisla
tion.
There is some objection to this in
some parts of the east where land de- '
velopment and reclamation is not un
derstood or appreciated. The united
influence of the west is needed to
counteract and opposition there may
be to making this meritorious policy ;
a part of the adjusted compensation
legislation.
Approximately 140 different indus
tries in the United States will pay in- fl
come taxes in 1922.
Massachusetts is first in the United
States in shoe distribution, having an
estimated trade In shoes in 90 coun
tries and colonies.
