THE POST OFFICE STORE Crow Indians In World War Join American Legion The only American Legion post composed exclusively of Indian ex-service men was organized re cently at a meeting in Lodge Grass Mont, attended by members of the Crow tribe who served in the World War. Formation of the post came about through a suggestion made last spring by Hanford MacNider, then national commander of the American Legion. The Idea took with the men from the start. “Tell me when and where you are galng to organize and I’ll be there if I have to walk,” said one young Crow veteran now livlrfg in Billings. There are about 30 men who can qualify for membership in the new post The 15 required for the secur ing of the charter have been signed WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 1922. up and the application has been for warded to national headquarters. It was voted to name the new post in honor of Joseph Chief-atNfght, the only member of the Crow tribe to lose his live in the service. He died at the Presidio In San Franscisco and his body lies beside those of Custer* men in the national cemetery at tha Custer battlefield. Health Affects Coral Beads.
