Evening Herald Leased
Wire Begins Monday
Beginning Monday, the Herald will receive the
Associated Press report over a special leased wire
from Denver, Colo. The report will lie received in
the Herald office by the Herald's own telegraph
operator. The service will be received over a com
posite telegraph and telephone wire, the properly
of the Colorado Telephone company. The circuit
over which the report will be sent will be one of
the largest in the country, reaching from Chey
enne. Wyoming, to El Paso, Texas. For the first
time in the southwest, an Associated Press report
will be sent over a wire on which the human voice
and telegiaph signals will be carried simultan
eously, neithoi conflicting with the other.
The Associated Press report the Herald will re
ceive beginning Monday, will cover the afternoon
field thoroughly. All important news will be pub
lished in the Herald on the day it happens.
