When the doors were closed after the seven o'clock services, Father Mollinger again passed through the crowd, proceeded by a uniformed policeman. The Father sprinkled with blessed water all within his reach. Men, women and children grasped his hands, his robes and his feet, affectionately kissing them as he passed. One poor woman kneeling at his feet, in agonizing tones, pleaded with the Priest for his blessing upon her blind baby which she held up in front of him. The kind Father stopped, complied with her request and passed on. An aged lady, who for years has been the victim of rheumatism, threw herself in his path saying: "Dear Father, please place your hand upon me." The request was granted, the woman arose and IT .18 SO- (Bv the Tnited Press ) Pittsiiuim;, Pa., June 13. The commencements are now about over, and next week, and for the week following, it may be said that "North Carolina is is truly in the hands of the school teachers." Of all the people of the State, none are more faithful, zealous and valu able than the teachers. JAU-VJLJI days following, thousands of these teachers and their friends will be gathering at Morehead City, where they w ill revel in the many delights of that most charming resort on the Atlantic coast. Every train on every railroad will be filled with teachers; every ptage-coach, even among the moun tain passes, will be crowded with the same happy, enthusiastic, merry hearted, cultured men and women, all seeking the pleasures of their summer vacation, and the inspira tion of their great Assembly, and the joys of the recuperating sea breeze and the surf bath. They will return from this grand social re-union and intellectual feast of good things inspired and encouraged and prepared to do even better work than ever before. North Carolina is indeed proud of her great Teach-' ers' Assemblv, and we are glad that such arrangements have been made with the Atlantic Hotel and the various Railroads that the ex pense of attendance upon the ses sions of the Assembly are so slight as hardly to be worth considering. The Prince of Wales ami the Duke of Cambridge, commander-in-chief of the forces, came to Lon don this morning on business, as it is said, of the first importance.
