Louisville, Ky., June 26. A fierce shooting affray occurred at Pleasant Ridge Park last evening. The principals in the affray being White Seward, Dudley Alsoph and Sidney Smith. Two years ago one, faction of the church discharged the rabbi and elected another in his place, but tlie intitterings of discontent gave no prophecy of last night's scene. The noise of the battle was heard two blocks away, and the four policemen of the' place ruhed to the scene. Altooxa, la., June 2G Shortly before noon to-day, at the larre quarry at Piney creek, Kobt. Calbert and a gang of men pre pared two blasts and fired them. One, however, failed to explode. Calbert took a 10-foot bar and pre pared to drill it out. lie placed the end of the bar in the hole and let it drop, when an explosion oc curred.
