The executive committee of the Western North Carolina teachers' association met at Asheville Satur day and decided that the next annual meeting of the association should be held at Waynesville, on June 14-17. Two men were very seriously hurt at Hub, on the Chadbourn & Conway railroad. They were at work in the Hub lumber mill, when some machinery broke. G. A. The Messenger says that more im provements are now going on in Wilmington than at any time in the history of the city. The electric railway is employing a couple of hundred men in constructing its power plant and in rebuilding the old tracks and constructing the new line on Nutt street. In addition to this, the Peregoy lumber company is constructing their side track and building their extensive saw and planing mills. The fact is, with all this work, labor is scarce, as every industrious man is at work. T WAS THE VICTIM op the W0RS1 I CASE op CATARRH that I ever hean of.
