McClure, of Philadelphia, is a man of whom Raleigh people have an especial regard, as has been shown during the two visits he has paid here. xesterday Mr. A B. btronach sent Colo nel McClure a "great fetish." It is some- whit in the shape of a cross and is made up of many things. At the top is a cam paign rooster, small but lusty ; and below this three pine cones. Lower down are the Raleigh centennial colors, and a bu siness man's campaign badge having a portrait oi Cleveland and a Tammany Hall button. The foot of the cross is made up of the left hind foot of a grave yard rabbit (the real thing, Mr. Stronach swea-s) and the hind foot of a "bog waller." The handsome gift is made to Colonel McClure as a testimonial. Wanted In Bridgeport, Connecticut A colored woman, for general house work, in small family: must be good cook.
