Mrs. Zannie Hatch enjoyed her 84th birthday celebration at her home in Richlands, with approximately thirty relatives and friends in at tendance. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Waller Freeman and daughter, Eloise and grandson, Jimmy, also Grover Mundon from Morehead City: Mr. and Mrs. Burke Koonce lrom Raleigh. Mr. and Mrs. Duval Williams and children, Ed gar. Leah Rose and Mack from Fayetteville, Mr. and Mrs. Farrior Koonce, Mrs. K. E. Williams and son. Robert. Mrs. Bessie King, Mrs. Tom Cox and daughter. A delicious birthday cake cover ed with white icing topped with pink candles, which were arranged to spelt out the number 84, was the center of attraction along with other layer cakes which decorated the table, appointed with a lovely linen cloth. A birthday dinner was enjoyed by all present. Mrs. Hatch was the recipient of a number of pretty and gorgeous gifts, among them were, one dozen red roses, given her by W. E. March 9th. at the community house with one hundred and sixty guests at tending, comprising the F. F. A. members, their fathers and moth ers: Mrs. Reid, . A filial notice was filed to all Rich lands citizens in order as fol lows: Water bills are due on or before the 10th of each month at City Hall. If not paid by the 10th water will be cut off and $1.00 charged to cut water back on. Office hours - 9-11 a.m.—1-4 p.m. MRS. HOWARD HONORED Mrs. Eunice Howard was honored on her birthday last Sunday March 12th. by her children and grand children, which included twenty five persons, who were present, at the home of Mrs. Howard in Rich lands. A beautiful birthday cake cover ed with fancy green and white ic ing. decorated with "Happy Birth day to Mother" and topped with pink candles centered the table on which was spread a delightful birth day dinner. The cake was cut and served with the dinner to all present Mrs. Howard was presented many lovely gifts by her children and grandchildren. HONORED ON BIRTHDAY Mrs. G. H. ISRAELI TOWN BOOMS NATHANYA, Israel—(/Pv—Busi ness is booming in this pretty little city along the Mediteranean north »f Tel Aviv. Sixty new industrial enterprises have signed contracts with the Nathanya municipality. Nearly $6,000,000 will be invested and some industries expect to start work immediately. A total of 2,000 workers are to be employed in the new industries which include a big electric fac tory. Nathanya already is Israel's biggest center for polishing and cutting diamonds. During the social hour a surprise birthday cake was presented to Mrs. Sidbury and the group sang "Happy Birthday."
