I ouug addresses those who have in jured themselved by private and improper indul gences in that secret and solitary habit which ru ni the body and mind, unfitting them for either busi ness or society. The follow ing are sonic of the sad and melancholy < fleets produced by early habits of youth, vis : Weakness in tile back and I.mils, pain in the head, dimness of sight, loss of muscular pow er, p.ilp.lalion ol the heart, dyspepsia, nervousness, irritability; derangement ol the digestive functions, general debility, symptoms of consumption. Loss ol in, mory, confusion of ideas, depression of sp rits, evil forelsidiiigs. aver sion lo society, sell-distrust, love of solitude, timid ity, Ac., Ac., are some of the evils produced. All persons who are affl.cted w.th any of the aliove symptoms should not fad to call on Dr. V. and be . t o..ce restored to perfect health. Let no false del.cm y prevent you. but apply immediately, and save yu-.i., It from the dr,. df d and awful cou sequene.s of this terrible malady. Weakness of the Organs immediately cured, and full vigor r stor. d, DR. J. C. \ Ul NG, cew California and Mongomery sts.. upstairs. IMPORTANT to minkks, travei.i.khh, etc.— Tin r • is no malady of deeper importance, cither in a medical or moral point of view, to which the hu man family Is more liable than that arising from impure connection. As u medical man, it is the duly of every physi cian to look at disease us it affects health and life, and his sole object should be to mitigate, as far ns ties in his power, the bodily suffering. Human na ture at best is tint trail; all are liable to misfortune. 01 all the ills that affect man, none are mere ter rible than those of a private nature. Dreadful as it is in the person who eonlrncls it, frightful as are its ravages upon his constitution, ending frequently in destruction and a loathsome grave, it becomes of Still greater importance when it is transmitted to innocent offspring. Such being the case how ne cessary it becomes that every one having reason to fear that they have contracted the disease, should attend to it at once by consulting some physician, whose respectability and education enables him to warrant u safe, speedy, and pi rmanent cure. In ac cordance with this necessity, Dr. Young feels called upon to state Hint, by long study nad extensive practice, he lias become perfect master of all those diseases, w hich come under the denomination of ve nereal, and having paid more attention hi that one branch than any other physician in the United States he feels himself better qualified lo t.,-at them. Syphilis in all its forms, such as Hirers, swelling in the groins, ulcers in the throat, secondary syphil is, cutaneous eruptions ulcerations U rinary sVpfiil is, syph.iis in children, mercureal syphilitic aflic tious, gonorrhoea, gleet, strictures, ialse passages, inflammation ol the bladder and prostrate glands, excoriations, tumors, postulos, etc., are ns familiar to him us the most common things of daily observa tion. The Doctor effects a cure In recent eases in a few 1 days, and finds no difficulty in curing those of bn; duration, without submitting the patient to such treatment as w ill draw upon him the slightest sus picion, or oblige him lo neglect his business, wheth er within doors or without. The diet need not bo changed, except in cases of severe inflammation.— There are in Calfornia patients (amounting lo over two thousand In the past year) that could furnish proof of this; but these are matters that require the nicest s -oresy, which he always preserves. Yorxo- - Dear Sir: —Words cannot ex press the gratitude I feel is due to you for the Ik-ii etit I have received from your truly y alcalde course of treatment of my case while prescribing for me. 1 think I cannot justify myself without giiing this small token of rny thankfulness, and esteem, for you have lieen the means ol saving wytifr, and restor ing to me that health which 1 had so long despaired of again enjoying. I had for a long time (four years,) been troubled witli that most dreadful scourge of young people, seminal weakness or noc turnal emissions, which so weakened me both body and mind. Ibnt I was obliged to give up mining al together. 1 consulted one of the best physicians (so called) in the mountain districts, and after a careful examination of my case, he gave me medi cines. I continued under his treatment for three months without receiving any benefit, in fact I grew wor.-e from week to week, until at last I got discour aged and asked him for his opinion. I told him not to fear to tell me the whole (ruth, for I should rath er know the worid at once, than to live in suspense. I had lost about thirty pounds of flesh, and knew Ih it he nt least could not cure me, mid us I was! then going on. death must soon count me us one ol its victims. This physician then told me that my case was inclinable; that 1 had better not lake any mere medicines. He said 1 was in a decline, which was fast tending to pulmonary consumption. 1 then despaired of obtaining any relief, ami saw that unless something was done to mitigate thecom pl lint t nit I should lie numbered w ith the dead, or what is worse, be a raring maniac. Happening to s, c one of your books, tin, Pocket -Escnlapins, I in uie i p my mind at once to call and consult you wi.'h tl e determination of trying once more to get j relii fif you would undertake the case. Receive niv most heartfelt thunks and esteem. S. W. REIGHLL'A. nor 17 4-ly Syphilis am> Goxour.aau.—Dr. l. j. Gzapkay would ask especial attention to syphilitic and gonorrlnral diseases. In the first stages of these complaints he guarantees n perfect and effectual cure In a few days without hindrance to business or the slightest inconvenience. The Doctor's method of treating them combines nil the latest Improve ments, by the medical faculty, with discoveries made by himself more effective than anything let known which secures the patient from the possibility of sec ondary symptoms, and removes the disease' in the shortest possible time. Secondary syphilis which appears inconsequence of the absorption of the poison into the system, and produces Bnlses, Ulcerations in the throat ami nose, which destroy the sift parts, mid cause the bone to mortify, separate and come away, disfiguring (in patient horribly. Nodes or painful swellings in Hie bones; splotches upon the skin, cases of which the Doctor sees daily in his office, and which are the re sult of improper treatment. Also, ulcers.soresnnd pimples, and injuries to the constitution, which af ter a long period of suffering, destroy life. It will also be remembered that these disorders are heredit ary, passing from parent to child, and entailing upon the offspring a ruined constitution. For tin cure of all these forms of diseases, the doctor guar antees a cure or asks no compensation. The Doctor cun be consulted,by letter or other wise free of charge and invites all who are afflict ed to call upon him, w here he will give them such satisfaction us they cun obtain nowhere else. There is not in the catalogue of human raaludiosone more to be deprecated limn this, ns well because of pres ent distress, os the ultimate results. The lone of the system under its deteriorating influence is either impaired or entirely destroyed, and u class of symptoms superinduced, that unfits man for the performance of any of the ordinary duties iff life. The injuries done to the physical part of man are truly lamentable, but trilling when compared to those ot the oensorium, the great nervous centre, and to the great nervous system generally. This disease which is too often consequent upon that sol itary vice, self-abuse, involves pathological condi tions beyond the comprehension of the uninitiated, but which are well understood by the regular prac titioner, Among the symptoms most conspicuous are the follow ing : —Love of solitude, aversion to business and society, distressing timidity, nervous excitement from slight causes, loss of memory, eon fusion of ideas, inability to reason, correctly, low spirits and lassitude, dullness of apprehension and misanthropy. These being functional derange ments. are often the harbingers of horrid organic lessons of the brain, which produces fatuity, demen tia and death. His case was one of three years standing; it was j contracted in the western country, anil he supposed I himself cured, but in the course of some months, j his limbs became stiff, his throat very much swollen, his teeth loosened and sores broke out on parts of i his body : 1 warranted his case ns 1 saw he was to lie depended on, and would pay when he was cured. He remained under my care one week, after which I supplied him w ith medicine and advice. In two months 1 received a letter of thanks from him. In i which he says, he has done more work ibis Spring, t than at one time, and never enjoyed belter health. By this it can lie seen, that persons afflicted with disease need not go beyond Sacramento City to find | relief. I am to be found at my office on Sixth street, Sac . ramento, from it in the morning until H in the even ing. Persons at a distance can obtain advice by communicating to me through the Expre s. and en closing ten dollars, post paid.
