however well advised will not do it.
Appropriations for our rivets and hu
bors however thsirable will not do it.

Local legislation can afford onl v tempo
rary relief. J ust so lougas M e are yearly
paying out more money than we are

ing poorer and poorer. Home manu
factory and home institutions must be
instituted, patronised and sustained
or our permanent prosperity will never

and as it is a matter of general intertst
relating to the crosswalk leading to
the Uirpqua bridge, which we advo-;
catedj in the columns of the Heview
and "ilso interviewed Mr. Koehler in
?ts interest. The railroad company
has most generously agreed to erect
same at its own expense, but read the
letter.
