McMahon of New Britain, pro prietor of the Bronson hotel, said that a bell boy had monkeyed with a strong box in their drawer where they keep valuables, but that what he obtained was insignificant. He would not say how much, but denied that the loss had anything to do with this mysteri ous loss of valuables at New Britain yesterday. The boy, he found, was up to all the dodges of hotel life and knew how to "knock down" money to his own credit by charging customers more than the price and pocketing the balance. His name, the boy said, waf John Foraker. but the hotel people learned that his name was Bobblt. He came from the Connecticut hot: at Waterbury and had worked in Wop cester and Springfield hotels. Mr Mc Mahon would be willing to spend a few dollars to find him. Often times parents fail to under stand why their children are called stupid by their teachers.
